In the world of professional sports, team image is everything. Color, logo, uniform choices, and players can all have an impact on success. In the NBA this success is commonly measured by one thing, championships. Historically, the most successful teams in the NBA have not strayed far from their original visual branding and most have continued to be successful, even over 50 years later.
This work presents a brand survey by way of championship. It analyzes photos, the history of logos, uniforms, team color usage, and number of championships to explore whether there is a correlation between visual branding and success in the NBA.
